Current Road Conditions

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of March 16 at 21:00, the roads in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for truck trailers, while other vehicles can travel with difficulty.

It is currently snowing in the city of Hrazdan, Kotayk Province.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

Regarding Lars

According to information from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepanavan-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Construction Works Ongoing

Construction works are underway on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road from the 39th km to the section leading to Bagratashen.

The following alternative routes for transportation have been established:

For intercommunity transportation of vehicles towards the cities of Alaverdi and Vanadzor and nearby settlements:

1. Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehak-Odzun-Alaverdi route, using sections of the road to the Georgian border.

From June 30, 2018, until March 16 of this year, construction works are being carried out on the 139th km of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, resulting in a 200-meter section being closed for one-way traffic.
