Minister's Scandalous Post to Be Discussed in 'My Step'
According to the 'Hraparak' newspaper, 'Calm is not on the horizon in the ruling team. Health Minister Arsen Torosyan's recent post targeting some members of the 'My Step' parliamentary faction has intensified the struggle, with the focus on the Chairman of the Health Committee of the National Assembly, Narek Zeynalyan, while the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, who is very close to Zeynalyan, is following the argument from behind the scenes, further upsetting the Minister.
'The issue is that Narek Zeynalyan, who is an experienced physician and tries to maintain the dignity of his profession, has scheduled a meeting with doctors on March 22, who are seriously concerned about Torosyan's public statement that the treatment of ischemic stroke is free, while in fact only certain types of treatment for this disease are free. Patients go to the doctor and are told to pay, to which the patient responds, 'You bury me, the minister said it's free.' Now Zeynalyan wants to understand the situation, which has been communicated to Torosyan, and this did not please him, prompting an immediate response.
Are there people in the team who see Zeynalyan in the minister's chair? 'I don't think so. Although, objectively speaking, if we look at it, the status of the committee chairman is equal to that of the minister, plus there is no responsibility. But who knows,' said a member of 'My Step'. Today, a meeting of the 'My Step' faction has been convened to discuss not only the scandalous statement of Health Minister Arsen Torosyan.
