Girl Aged 9 Struck by SUV in Yerevan

On March 14, an accident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 14:45, 21-year-old Roman Ohanyan, a resident of Yerevan, struck a pedestrian crossing the street at a prohibited area with his VAZ 2121 vehicle bearing the license plate 98 FO 008 on Nansen Street. This report comes from Shamshyan.com.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene and assisted the injured party, who is a 9-year-old girl, in being transported to the St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center. Police officers Tigran Petrosyan and Harutyun Tagvoryan from the second platoon of the Yerevan Police arrived promptly, securing the scene until traffic police inspectors Karen Khudanyan and Vardan Mirzoyan from the first battalion arrived.

The police are working to establish the identity of the victim. The driver underwent a sobriety test on site, which confirmed that he was sober.
