Osakanyan is Not One of Silva Hamazaryan's 'Victims'

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "There was news in the media that a confrontation took place between the notorious corrupt figure Silva Hamazaryan and former Foreign Minister Vardan Osakanyan. We have clarified that Osakanyan is not one of the lady's 'victims'; he is merely a witness in the case, as it was Osakanyan who invited Hamazaryan's Arab partners to invest in Armenia, more precisely, assured them that there are appropriate conditions for making investments.

Following the parliamentary elections in 2017, when Osakanyan's party 'Hanragit' did not make it to the parliament and the former foreign minister closed the chapter on his political career, he has spent most of the year in the United States, teaching at Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

However, after the revolution, he was forced to return to his homeland several times: once due to his mother's death, the second time to be interrogated as a witness in the March 1 case, and the next time for confrontation with Silva Hamazaryan."
