Ararat Mirzoyan Invited to Security Council Meeting, Armen Sarkissian Not

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "Today, a meeting of the Armenian Security Council will take place in Artsakh. Although they officially do not say why the meeting has been moved to Artsakh, it is clear that it is related to the statement by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. Yesterday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, along with Security Council members including the Director of the National Security Service, Arthur Vanetsyan, and Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, traveled to Artsakh.

It is worth reminding that the members of the RA Security Council include the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, the Secretary of the Security Council, Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, the Head of the National Security Service, the Chief of Police, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Therefore, only the Speaker of the National Assembly and the President of Armenia are not members of the Security Council; they have been excluded from this composition as a result of constitutional changes.

However, it is noteworthy that Pashinyan has invited his party mate, Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan, to participate in today's meeting, and he will also be present.

As for President Armen Sarkissian, did he receive an invitation? We asked Hasmik Petrosyan, the head of his office. "No, the President of Armenia did not receive an invitation," Petrosyan informed us.
