The Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople Mesrop Archbishop Mutafyan Has Passed Away
Today, in Istanbul, the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, Mesrop Archbishop Mutafyan, has passed away at the age of 63. This has been reported by Turkish news websites.
The Patriarch died at the Surp Pırgiç Armenian Hospital in Yedikule after being in a coma for nine years.
It is worth noting that the duties of the Patriarch are currently being carried out by the Patriarchal Locum Tenens, Archbishop Aram Ateshyan.
