Armenian Deminer’s Foot Amputated
An Armenian deminer injured in a mine incident in Syria has had his right foot amputated. The Humanitarian Demining and Expert Center reports that the incident occurred the day before yesterday.

It has been noted that the deminer was an experienced specialist.
It is recalled that during a humanitarian mission in Syria on March 7, an explosive incident occurred, resulting in injuries to one of the deminers from the group of Armenian specialists, specifically to his right foot.
According to the Humanitarian Demining and Expert Center, the cause of the incident was a plastic Iranian booby trap mine. The injured deminer was urgently transported to a hospital for surgery. His life is not in danger. Demining operations are continuing.
