Vanetsyan's Uncle Holds Privileged Status
The newspaper 'Zhamanak' reports: 'Aram Azaryan, who occupies the position of head of the collection and accounting department of the Ararat customs, is the uncle of NSS head Arthur Vanetsyan and holds privileged status. He has been working at the Ararat customs for nearly 8 months but has not submitted a declaration to date.
No information regarding the assets of the NSS head's uncle can be found on the website of the Ethics Commission of High-Ranking Officials, whereas the Law on Public Service requires officials to submit a declaration upon assuming or terminating their position. In this case, it is evident that Vanetsyan's official uncle is privileged and can bypass the law.'
