Chickenpox Outbreak in Kapan Causes Some Classes to Miss School

The educational process at Kapan’s number 10 secondary school has been suspended due to a chickenpox outbreak, reports Armdaily.am, noting that they were unable to contact the school.

Merin Gandalyan, head of the Education, Culture and Sports Department of the Syunik Regional Administration, told Armdaily.am that classes are underway at the secondary school, but “the classes where students are infected with chickenpox have not attended.”

Gandalyan added that health officials, along with the school and local hospital nurses, are currently working at the school. “Our school holidays will also begin this Monday due to the spread of chickenpox,” concluded the department head.
