Cameras Will Not Be Installed in Buses Yet

The Yerevan City Hall has retreated. Cameras and recording devices will not be installed in Yerevan buses just yet. This was informed to NEWS.am by bus drivers who declared a strike earlier this morning, following a consultation that concluded with the participation of Henrik Navasardyan, head of the Transport Department of Yerevan City Hall.

The so-called 'daily plan' will also remain unchanged. Representatives of the City Hall noted that this new format will not be implemented until a final version is developed and it transitions to a card system.

This decision satisfied the drivers, and they will resume their routes.

As previously reported by AuroraNews, more than 250 bus drivers had declared a strike early in the morning. They expressed dissatisfaction that the installation of cameras in buses indicates an intention from the responsible authorities to monitor their income.
