According to Investigation, Levon Yeranosyan Threw Flashbangs into the Crowd on Baghramyan: Simonian

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonian has shared a video on his Facebook page showing clashes between police and protesters on Baghramyan Avenue during the days of the revolution. He specifically stated that he learned from an investigator days ago that Levon Yeranosyan was the person who threw flashbangs into the crowd on Baghramyan Street.

“Days ago, I found out from the investigator that, according to the preliminary investigation data, Levon Yeranosyan is the individual who threw flashbangs into the crowd on Baghramyan Street, from which not only I suffered, but dozens of others too.

I also watched the video of how diligently he was throwing them. Initially, it was the flashbang that injured me, and then I saw how another flashbang landed near my friend Arayik Harutyunyan's parents' feet, and Ms. Marina barely had time to cover her ears... I couldn’t continue watching; I declined to do so, even as a victim, I could have familiarized myself with the materials. The case has already been sent to court.”

It is noteworthy that on September 26, 2018, Levon Yeranosyan was charged under parts 2 and 3 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The charges were brought for public endangerment, as he intentionally performed actions using special means that evidently exceeded his powers and caused significant harm to the rights and legal interests of citizens, as well as negligently caused severe consequences.
