Marutyan's Nerves Are Fraying: Instructions Given to Remain Silent About Incidents

Recent reports have circulated in the media that Yerevan's mayor, Haik Marutyan, had approached Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan weeks ago, indicating his desire to resign. However, the Prime Minister urged him not to take that step and to serve at least two more months in office.

Nevertheless, the situation within the city administration is spiraling out of control, and Marutyan's nerves are fraying. Furthermore, according to information received by Iravunk, yet another incident occurred in the mayor's office last week.

A resident from a dilapidated building entered the mayor's office armed with a knife, demanding immediate attention to their grievances. Although the individual was successfully removed from the premises, a directive was issued to remain silent about the episode to avoid causing a bigger uproar.

It seems that if there was a way to cover up the old, colorful building at 13 Khorenatsi Street, which was previously the Ministry of Enlightenment, to hide the fact that it has been demolished, the mayor's office would have certainly done so.

Details can be found in today's edition of the newspaper.
