Snow, Black Ice, Closed Roads: Situation on the Highways
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of March 4 at 08:00, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass and Berd-Jambarak highways are closed. The Sotk-Karvachar (for trucks) and Goris-Sisian (blizzard) highways are difficult to navigate. There are instances of black ice on the inter-community roads in the Aragatsotn region: Chknagh-Dzoraglukh, Arai-Vardenut, Kuchak-Zagkashen, as well as in the Shirak region's Ashotsk area. It is currently snowing in Vayots Dzor and Syunik regions.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to information received from the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is open for all types of vehicles.
Construction work is ongoing on the highway section from the 39th km of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road to Bagratashen. The following alternative routes have been established for transport traffic: Local traffic to the cities of Alaverdi, Vanadzor, and nearby communities should be conducted via the routes: Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehats-Odzun-Alaverdi through the Georgian border.

Since June 30, 2018, construction work has been taking place on the 139th km of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, resulting in a one-way closure of approximately 200 meters.
