Scientists Create Mind-Reading Hat
Engineers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have created a hat that reads people's thoughts. The hat is reminiscent of the one used in 'Harry Potter,' which also had a similar function. This was reported by The Boston Globe.
The engineers confirmed that they were inspired by the works of English author J.K. Rowling and the iconic hat from the famous film.
It is noted that one of the students, Natalia Cosmina, developed the 'thinking hat' which captures human brain activity and recognizes items presented by the individual.
'When you think of an object, actions occur in the brain that we can capture. There’s no magic in this; it’s pure neuroscience,' says Cosmina.
According to her, this hat is designed to help students improve their self-esteem and progress.
