29.5 kg of medication attempted to be smuggled: Vehicle inspected in Bagratashen
Employees of the State Revenue Committee inspected a vehicle belonging to citizen K.A. which had arrived in Armenia from Georgia near the entrance checkpoint of the Bagratashen customs.
According to the information and public relations department of the RA SRC, during the customs visual inspection, 3.5 kg of various medications were discovered under the front seat of the vehicle.

In the next phase, the vehicle, which had been converted into a hiding place, was subjected to a more detailed examination using “Rapiskan” X-ray equipment. As a result, another 6 kg of medication was found in the backrest of the front seat. Thus, a total of 29.5 kg of various medications was discovered from different hiding places in the vehicle.
An act was drawn up regarding the violation of customs regulations, and the materials were sent to the relevant department of the SRC to determine further actions.
