Snowfalls, Blizzards, Fog, Difficult and Closed Roads - Updated

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Armenia reports that as of February 28th at 09:30, snow is falling on the roads in the regions of Ashotzk, Akhurian, Artik, Maralik, Talin, Baghramyan, Armavir, Yeghvard, Aparan, Aragatz, Spitak, Tumanyan, Vanadzor, Noyemberyan, Ijevan, Berd, Dilijan, Sevan, Hrazdan, Abovyan, Ararat, Sisian, and Goris.

Blizzards are reported on the roads of Abovyan, Gavar, Ashotzk, Sevan, Aparan, and Aragatz, as well as in the Ketti Pass. The Abovyan-Sevan and Aparan-Aragatz roads are impassable due to the blizzards. Drivers are advised to avoid traveling on these sections for the time being.

Fog is present in the Megrui Pass, with visibility down to 50 meters.

The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for passenger vehicles due to the blizzards, and it is closed for heavy and trailer transport.

Road construction crews are working on clearing the roads with salt and sand.

Other interstate and republican roads remain open.
