Again a Protest: After 9 Years, How Can I Examine This Case? Investigator to the Mother of the Fallen Soldier

The mothers of soldiers who died in peacetime in the army have concerns that despite the upcoming review of 5 high-profile criminal cases related to these deaths, they still fear that a fair investigation will not be possible.

According to News.am, Nana Muradyan, the mother of Valerik Muradyan who died in the army during peacetime, was told by an investigator at the Investigative Committee that uncovering the case after 9 years is difficult because the evidence has been destroyed. She quoted the investigator saying, 'Nine years have passed, initially the traces have been lost, the material evidence has been destroyed, the case has become a mess. How can I examine this case after 9 years?'

Nana Muradyan insists that the case's initial investigator, Aprasyan, should be held criminally accountable for covering up the case.

The assistant to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nairi Sargsyan, met with them and promised to address the issue.
