VIDEO: How the Drug Lord Pablo Escobar's 'Stronghold' is Being Demolished

As previously reported, Colombian authorities have expressed their intention to demolish the notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar's stronghold known as 'Monaco' and instead install a monument in memory of his victims at the same site.

According to BBC News, around 1,600 people attended the event, including families of Escobar's victims.

The video shows how Escobar's stronghold is leveled to the ground through controlled explosions. The attendees cheered and celebrated as the structure was brought down.
