Court Case Filed Against OEK: Ordered Billboards but Failed to Pay
The newspaper "Hayots Ashkharh" reports that creditors from the "Orinats Yerkir" party, once a member of the ruling coalition and later vocal in opposition, are now pursuing their funds through court.
According to the publication, on February 15, 2019, LLC "EGA" filed a lawsuit against the "Orinats Yerkir" party, demanding 240,000 drams. It is noted that "EGA" LLC specializes in the installation of advertising billboards and conducting external advertising activities. This indicates that the OEK had ordered relevant campaign billboards during the elections but has yet to pay for them.
Additionally, it is worth mentioning that after losing the recent parliamentary elections, Arthur Baghdasaryan resigned from the party presidency. Notably, OEK was also sued for debts during Baghdasaryan's leadership when the party was part of the ruling coalition with the Republican Party of Armenia. In 2013, the State Property Management Department had filed a lawsuit against OEK, seeking payment for leased premises.
