Who Will Be the Ambassador of Armenia in Canada?

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "According to our sources, the name of the Republic of Armenia's ambassador in Canada is already known. Following the death of Aznavour, Anahit Harutyunyan, who has been the interim chargé d'affaires of Armenia in Switzerland, has communicated the name of the previous ambassador, Levon Martirosyan, to the Canadian authorities before her return to Armenia. We believe that the new appointment will also be fruitful. Martirosyan accomplished significant work in a short time by bringing Trudeau to Armenia; by the way, Trudeau was the only leader among the world powers (as Canada is a G7 member) who congratulated Nikol Pashinyan immediately after the parliamentary elections in December.”

According to our source, the search for new candidates continues within the diplomatic corps. However, there are individuals who decline offers; for example, Vahram Kazhoyan, the head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has rejected an offer to serve as ambassador in Vietnam.”
