The Civil Contract Party Finds Itself Out of the Game: 'Hraparak'

According to the newspaper 'Hraparak', it has recently become known that 'Bright Armenia' has joined the European Liberal Democrats Party.

As it is known, the Republican Party (RPA) and the Heritage Party are members of the European People's Party (EPP), the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) is part of the European Social Democrats, and the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is a member of the European Conservatives and Reformists. The 'Civil Contract Party', established in 2014, is not included in any of these groups. 'European political families' unite around ideological commonalities, while Nikol Pashinyan has repeatedly stated that the era of 'isms' is over. This is the reason why the Civil Contract Party has found itself effectively out of the game,' said our opposition source.

'What is the reason you joined the European family, while the Civil Contract Party did not? When you applied for membership two years ago during your time in the joint 'exit' family, you were rejected,' we asked the leader of Bright Armenia, Edmon Marukyan. 'I can't say. Well, maybe sooner or later they will also become part of some group.'

Being the ruling party with 88 representatives in parliament, the Civil Contract Party is not a member of any European family. Is this a sign of 'indifference' towards Europe, or are you not taken seriously there? We asked Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan. 'Don’t be hasty, you’re very hasty.' We are not rushing; just look at what is happening with the EPP, Dolmayan's Republicans, and Ashotyan, and you... 'You are rushing; I say... we'll apply, whether we will be accepted or not, will become clear in the near future.'
