Completely Independent States Do Not Exist: Putin
After a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Sochi, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in a conversation with reporters that completely independent states simply do not exist in the world, and that interdependence prevails in the modern world. This was reported by the news agency 'RIA Novosti'.
“Independence and sovereignty are closely related concepts,” noted Putin, emphasizing that absolute independent states, whether large or small, simply do not exist, as the modern world is one of interdependencies.
“In Europe, for example, the European Parliament issues mandatory decisions for everyone much more than the USSR did in its time,” added Putin.
