Vardan Ghukasian Attempts to 'Hide' the Truth: Zhoghovurd

The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports: 'National Assembly (NA) Prosperous Armenia Party faction member Vardan Ghukasian has changed his permanent committee. Days ago, 'Zhoghovurd' reported that he had joined the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs without having served in the military. However, we have learned that Ghukasian later regretted this and has now joined the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Environment and Agriculture.

Interestingly, in a conversation with our correspondent, Ghukasian stated that he is currently a member of the Defense Committee and that he moved from the Territorial Administration Committee.

Meanwhile, in an interview with 'Zhoghovurd,' the head of the Internal Committee on Defense and Security, Andranik Kocharyan, stated the opposite. He mentioned that the Prosperous Armenia faction had approached the NA President to allow Ghukasian to change committees and leave their group. The secretary of the Prosperous Armenia faction, Arman Abovyan, also confirmed this information in our conversation, stating that Ararat Mirzoyan accepted the proposal from the Prosperous Armenia Party, and there are currently a few procedural matters regarding the documents. According to Abovyan, this transfer reflects Ghukasian's personal desire.'
