Janjughazyan Hints at Resignation: 'My Step' Coalition Reveals Details
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports, "The discussion with Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan within the 'My Step' alliance lasted a long time — from 2 PM to 7 PM. It was incomprehensible to imagine such a fruitless and senseless discussion; we were extremely tired, although outwardly it seemed like a lively debate. Janjughazyan was evasive; we wasted time trying to get specifics from him — he answered in long-winded terms, speaking for about 15 minutes on each question without actually saying anything.
Chairing the meeting, Lilit Makunts had to impose a time limit for everyone involved — both the questioners and the responder. A total of 40 people asked questions, making it quite a flash mob. The lion's share of discussion revolved around bonuses and also the Tax Code," said a source from 'My Step'.
Did you ask about the awarding of Janjughazyan's protégé, Karen Brutyan? "Well, the entire discussion was dedicated to that. We left no stone unturned."
And what about him? "He answered in long-winded sentences, stating that no laws were violated. He mentioned that he is merely the godfather of one of Brutyan's children, but that has no bearing, as Brutyan has worked very well and that is why he received the bonus. If we don't encourage our effective workers, everyone will leave the system, and there will be no one left to work. He was also hinting at himself — do you want us to stop working?" And you? "We told him that he was not providing any specific answers, Mr. Janjughazyan, that he was disrespecting the parliament, and that we weren't getting answers to any of our questions. This practice of calling officials to the carpet is pointless. But it seems a decision has been made to call everyone in — let them cut the extra-budgetary funds and that will be the end of it; what's the purpose of this show?"
