If the number of victims was not hidden before, it must not be in post-revolution Armenia: MP from 'My Step'

If the Ministry of Defense did not hide information about victims and wounded in pre-revolutionary Armenia, it has even less right to do so in post-revolutionary Armenia. This was stated by Edgar Arakelyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly, on his Facebook page.

In particular, the post states:

“Any retreat or unfounded inertia in the fields of human rights, democracy, corruption, and transparency is absolutely unacceptable—regardless of whether it stems from the negligence or misconduct of individual officials and departments or has a systemic nature.

If in pre-revolutionary Armenia, the Ministry of Defense did not hide information about victims and wounded from the public, it absolutely has no right to act this way in post-revolutionary Armenia.

If in pre-revolutionary Armenia, citizens were not summoned to police stations or the president's cabinet for critical opinions and personal assessments expressed in Facebook posts, then in post-revolutionary Armenia, they have even less right to do so.

If in pre-revolutionary Armenia, detainees died due to exhaustion from hunger strikes or as a result of suicide, then in post-revolutionary Armenia, we simply have no right to allow this.

If in pre-revolutionary Armenia nepotism, patronage, and corruption flourished, then it logically follows that in post-revolutionary Armenia, these phenomena—despite being accompanied by self-awarded bonuses and administrative leave—should simply not exist. Under no justification and in no form.
