Armen Ashotyan Has a New Job
168 Jam reports: “It was evident that after the dissolution of the parliament, the ideological wing of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) would not remain unemployed, as even the revolutionary authorities do not dispute their level of preparedness. And it seems they have found various ways to combine their active political activities with work in specific sectoral directions.
According to “168 Jam,” the head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the 6th convocation of the National Assembly and RPA Deputy Speaker Armen Ashotyan has started working at the “Lus” Foundation, which is transforming from an educational foundation into an educational center, expanding its activities in various directions related to domestic and foreign policy. Specifically, Ashotyan will be involved in coordinating research on foreign political programs.
It is worth noting that former Armenian Ministers of Justice Davit Harutyunyan and Arpineh Hovhannisyan had earlier announced their intention to engage in human rights activities. Meanwhile, former senior officials from the RPA are not distancing themselves from the country's active political life; rather, they are each expanding their professional activities while keeping a finger on the pulse of political developments, combining their party activities with adjacent sectors.
Armen Ashotyan also confirmed our information in a conversation with “168 Jam.” In response to our observation that there were rumors about his possible move abroad for work, the RPA Vice President stated that he had received job offers from various foreign research centers and international institutions. However, considering numerous factors, he decided to continue his political activity, thus also working in Armenia.
