The Bonus Fund Will Be 30% of the Salary Fund: Lena Nazaryan

There will be no more extra-budgetary funds in state institutions. This was announced by the Vice President of the National Assembly, Lena Nazaryan, on her Facebook page.

“Parliamentary oversight in practice. Today, at the invitation of the My Step faction, the Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan came to the National Assembly. We discussed the issues related to bonuses and the changes in the Tax Code for nearly 5 hours.

I would like to inform you about the decisions made regarding bonuses.

1. No more extra-budgetary funds will exist in state institutions. (The Ministry of Defense may be an exception.) Mostly, bonuses have been provided from these funds for years, and there was no upper limit established for bonuses for public servants.
2. According to the 2019 budget, a bonus fund will be allocated for each state institution, amounting to 30% of the salary fund.
3. The Civil Service Office is developing a government decision that will regulate the distribution of bonuses. I believe that the most important issue in this regard is to establish an upper limit for each position, so that the manager is restricted by this limit when granting bonuses to themselves and their employees.
4. At the first possible opportunity, we will initiate a change to the Law on Public Service so that the amount of the bonus is also reflected in the published declarations.

Note: In the last 10 years, there have not been as many changes in the issue of granting bonuses as there have been in the last three weeks.
