Recording, Photos: 500,000 Dram Granted by Yeghvard Municipality Not Collected by School Principal, Confirm Teachers and Principal
The "Zhoghovurd" newspaper reported today that the Kotayk regional administration conducted an inspection at the Yeghvard municipality and discovered that, by the decision of Mayor Norayr Sargsyan, a tourist package to Dubai worth 577,000 Dram was provided to participants of the 2016 Terendndaraj citywide celebration as a gift for being the celebratory thousandth couple.
According to "Zhoghovurd," an additional 500,000 Dram was paid from community funds to Ramanik Simonian, the principal of Yeghvard High School No. 14, while according to the relevant annex of the community leader's decision, the funds were supposed to be allocated to five class teachers.
In an interview with Avrora News, Principal Ramanik Simonian described the information regarding himself as misinformation, stating that the mentioned 500,000 Dram was not collected by him, but was indeed given to the five class teachers for organizing graduation events. Furthermore, Simonian points out that there is no High School No. 14 in Yeghvard; there is only one—High School No. 1.
"The money was allocated to organize the Last Bell graduation activities. All parents and all 100 graduates are aware of this. They can confirm. This pertains to the Last Bell of 2016. It took place in front of the entire community. Currently, the teachers, who received the funds, are writing a statement. We can provide these to you and the municipality," said the high school principal. He also added that he does not understand whether this is a misdirection or an error.
