One of the Witnesses Testifying Against Kocharian Has Been Promoted, Says Aloomyan

The position of one of the individuals who testified against the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, has been elevated. This information was shared today, February 7, during a conversation with reporters in the Court of Appeal by Haik Aloomyan, a member of Kocharian's legal team.

He noted that there are testimonies in the case that the defense considers obviously false.

"There is a testimony that contains a specific section which also contradicts other evidence and, in our assessment, does not correspond to reality, and that individual has received a promotion after providing that testimony," he stated, clarifying that the testimony relates to events preceding order 0038.

Aloomyan declined to reveal the identity of the individual who provided the testimony, stating that it constitutes pre-investigation secrecy.
