Kostanyan is One of the Best Lawyers: Alen Simonyan on Gevorg Kostanyan's Appointment

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, highly values the professional abilities of former Chief Prosecutor of Armenia and a member of the Republican Party faction in the previous parliament, Gevorg Kostanyan. Today, during a conversation with journalists in the parliament, he mentioned that Kostanyan can provide services to the Republic of Armenia.

“I think it would be good for him to be able to provide services to the Republic of Armenia in some way or another. Because I am not ready to consider Gevorg Kostanyan as a political unit, as he has not been a member of the Republican Party, but when viewed as a lawyer, I can say that he is one of the best lawyers,” said Simonyan.

In response to the remark that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Kostanyan investigated the March 1 case and that the status quo should not be changed, Simonyan answered that Pashinyan also said that the March 1 case has always been a matter of political resolution and political will.

“Mr. Kostanyan is one of the best lawyers that exists in Armenia,” added Simonyan.
