Black Ice, Closed and Impassable Roads

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of February 7 at 08:00, there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads across Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for truck trailers from the Vayots Dzor side (closed from the Gegharkunik side), while it is open for passenger cars.

The Sotk-Karvachar road is impassable due to black ice.

In the "Zanger" section of the Syunik region, there are patches of black ice.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.

According to information received from the Department of Highways of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
