Who and Why is Concerned About Vitaly Balasanyan?

The newspaper "Fact" reports: "Recently, discussions regarding the dismissal of Vitaly Balasanyan, the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, have intensified.

Although Balasanyan himself recently stated that he will not resign, that the issue of his dismissal is not being discussed in the Republic of Artsakh, and that no one from the Republic of Armenia can influence his resignation, the topic continues to be presented to the public with various interpretations. Moreover, interviews given by Balasanyan on Army Day led to a total onslaught against him, including insults.

Our sources insist that this is not a coincidence. It is done because, according to information, he is considered one of the main candidates for the presidency of Artsakh in the 2020 elections. For this reason, there are certain interested forces who are concerned about Vitaly Balasanyan's rating and, therefore, are trying to seize every opportunity to discredit him and exploit his name unnecessarily.

By the way, on January 28, V. Balasanyan said, 'First of all, I have not decided that I will participate in the elections. If I decide to participate, I will be the candidate of the people, forget forever that I will be anyone else's candidate; I will be the candidate of the people.'"
