Discussion on Tax Committee Bonuses Held in Closed-Door Meeting: What to Expect
“It is not only with the State Revenue Committee that there will be a meeting. If we want to present decisions and solutions - and we do want that - we cannot provide a solution or proposal based solely on a meeting with one agency leader. We will investigate the issue comprehensively. At this moment, there is no solution.
We will analyze another agency to understand what kind of legislative initiatives are needed, whether they are necessary or not. The overall budget for SRC bonuses has been cut by 50 percent for 2019. These developments have already received responses and are being addressed,” said Lilit Makunts, the head of the “My Step” parliamentary faction, regarding today's closed meeting with members of the faction, government officials, and regional governors.
She also noted that during the discussions, which lasted more than four hours, they talked about recent visits of the Prime Minister to Davos and Germany, bonuses, and there were also separate topics. The composition of the government was discussed briefly, but there was no in-depth discussion as “it is still a topic for government consideration.”
