New Opposition Forces Are Emerging: Who Are They?
The newspaper "Iravates" reports: "Despite Nikol Pashinyan declaring that the power belongs to the people, in reality, 'the speaker' is him everywhere. The parliamentary forces, in one way or another, are 'playing' in his field, avoiding turning the Prime Minister into a target for criticism.
This somewhat resembles the former parliamentary forces, which criticized everyone but treated Serzh Sargsyan's name with 'sacred terror.' This is also the reason why extra-parliamentary forces are viewed as more radical opponents than the parliamentary ones.
Furthermore, due to the lack of a political agenda, according to our information, some extra-parliamentary forces and individuals have decided to form a new front to first impose a clear foreign policy orientation on the authorities and then react against the government's policies with their actions. The members of this initiative see clear challenges in both domestic and foreign policy that society is still reluctant to see 'with open eyes.' In the near future, it will become clear which forces and individuals are the authors of this initiative."
