Movements in the Armenian Broadcasting Field: 'Hraparak'

According to the newspaper 'Hraparak', the Armenian broadcasting field is undergoing a reorganization phase. For a long time, there have been discussions about the sale of H 3 television, but we were informed that there is no such intention, although it is possible that it will be taken under 'management.'

The 'Ararat' television company, transformed into Channel 5, is being significantly re-equipped. Some do not rule out the possibility that the television channel may be subjected to 'sanctions' by the National Commission on Television and Radio, whose president was elected from the former editor of 'Hayk' newspaper, Tigran Hakobyan. After re-equipping, TV 5, located in the 'black' building of the Republican Party, will move to a new, renovated space in 'Erebuni Plaza'. The media 'empire' associated with Kocharyan is consolidating under one roof.

By the end of the month, the re-equipped 'ArmenNews' television company, which has expanded its broadcasting field, will also start its operations. It is preparing to provide only news broadcasts (it is stated in the license exclusively for that function), similar to the approach of CNN. That is, with hourly bulletins, around the clock.

It is worth noting that this work is being carried out by the 'Quartet' of former deputies who have broken away from the Republican Party, consisting of Samvel Farmyanyan, Karen Bekaryan, Arman Sagatelyan, and Mihran Hakobyan.
