We are Working on Acquiring SU-30 Aircraft, Says Ministry of Defense Spokesperson

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, declined to specify which phase Armenia has reached in the acquisition of SU-30SM multifunctional fighter jets during a press conference today. However, he emphasized that work is ongoing in this direction, considering it an important issue.

"In modern warfare, I am more than sure, I am convinced that the presence of airpower is very important, especially multifunctional, offensive, and long-range air force capabilities," Hovhannisyan stated.

The spokesperson also did not answer the question of whether the purchase of the aircraft will be conducted through loans or available funds.
