Georgia's Foreign Ministry Responds to Baku's Note Regarding Hero's Statue in Akhalkalaki
The Georgian and Azerbaijani sides have discussed the situation surrounding the monument to Artsakh Liberation War hero Mikhail Avagyan. This was reported by Грузия Online, referencing Georgia's Foreign Ministry.
The Ministry specifically stated that there are no undisclosed topics between the two countries, and this issue was also addressed. "Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of Georgia, and there are no undisclosed topics between the countries. This is a normal format of communication, and the commotion regarding this issue is unwarranted," the statement read.
It is worth noting that Baku had previously issued a protest note to Tbilisi through ambassadors concerning the unveiling of the Armenian hero's statue in Akhalkalaki on January 20.
