Ararat Governor Targets School Directors After Campaign Against Village Heads

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the renowned governor of Ararat, Garik Sargsyan, has shifted his campaign against village heads to school directors. Sources from the region inform us that he has decided to gradually dismiss all non-affiliated directors, prioritizing those who served under the previous authorities or have close ties to them.

For instance, Narine Galstyan, the young director of Sisavan, has completed her term; however, Sargsyan has allegedly warned her not to even think about participating in the competition again, as she is closely connected to the Avshar Grigoryans.

A week ago, obstacles were created during the announced competition for the director of Ararat No. 1 School to ensure that the government appoints his protégé. Two members of the school council have repeatedly failed to attend the sessions for disrespectful reasons. There were three candidates: Nelly Ghazaryan, Haik Khanoyan, and Vahram Manukyan, the latter being a protégé of Governor Garik Sargsyan.

On January 18, under the governor's order, the director of the Bjuravan Secondary School, Nvard Melikyan, was dismissed after being given two warnings, thereby "legally" freeing her from her position.

Details in today's edition of the newspaper.
