The Bus Involved in the Accident in Voronezh Was from Azerbaijan, Not Armenia

On January 24, early in the morning, a "Mercedes Sprinter" minibus that was involved in an accident in the Voronezh region of Russia was from Azerbaijan. This was confirmed by Vahe Avanesyan, a correspondent for SHANTNEWS.am in Russia, who reported that the Armenian Embassy in Russia clarified that according to the official message received, neither of the two buses had Armenian license plates, and there were no Armenian citizens on board. The damaged minibus bore an Azerbaijani license plate: 20ES706.

According to information obtained by Vahe Avanesyan, the identity of the deceased driver has been established as Mamedov Elchin Bakhtiar oglu, born in 1970.

It is noted that, according to reports from Russian media, at 5:45 AM on January 24, the "Mercedes Sprinter" collided with a bus of the Pegarus brand in the Voronezh region. The 49-year-old driver of the minibus died at the scene, and another passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries.
