Deputy Chief of Police's Directive Leads to Misappropriation of Social Package Funds

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the former Deputy Chief of Police of Armenia and Commander of Police Troops, Lieutenant General Levon Eranosyan. Based on a verbal directive, between 2013 and 2018, funds allocated for the social packages of police troops, amounting to 72,000 drams each, were diverted to organize leisure activities for the troops. This was done with the knowledge of Eranosyan through agreements signed with representatives of tourist organizations visiting the military unit. However, the actual services provided to the military personnel were worth only 52,000 drams.
