Criminal Proceedings Against Vstrechi Apero Cease
The criminal proceedings against Aram Vardanyan, known by the nickname Vstrechi Apero, and his associate Garegin Iskandaryan have been halted, and the criminal case has been terminated.
It is noteworthy that the defendants in this case admitted to the charges brought against them and requested that the case be heard under an expedited judicial process. According to the court's ruling, the criminal proceedings against Aram Vardanyan and Garegin Iskandaryan have been ceased and the criminal case has been terminated.
Recall that according to the indictment, Aram Vardanyan organized, led, and personally participated in the violent abduction of Mamikon Bagratuni on July 17, 2017, in the vicinity of the “Aramis” supermarket in the Noragavit district, with a group of accomplices and under threat of weapon. Garegin Iskandaryan is also a defendant in this case, accused of involvement in Bagratuni's abduction.
Both of them were subjected to bail as a measure of restraint.
It is worth noting that Aram Vardanyan was arrested on July 30, 2018, at Dubai Airport, and was extradited from the United Arab Emirates to Armenia on October 1.
