Car Insurance Prices Set to Rise Amid Protest at Government Building
Car insurance prices are poised to increase soon. This was announced today by employees of insurance companies participating in a protest held near the Government building.
“We are protesting against the low commission fees that have persisted in the car insurance sector for months, which will soon change. We are constantly being told that nothing will increase in price, but that is not true. The issue is that, years ago, every insurance company operated under its own program, and the car insurance contract was signed based on its preferred program, for which very little commission was paid,” said protest participant Sargis Yeghoyan in an interview with News.am.
He stated that they see the solution in understanding whether they can continue working under the previous programs. “In this sector, we have several thousand agents, and at the moment, what factory in Armenia needs to be opened for several thousand families to be able to secure their daily bread?” he emphasized.
