Video: I acted under the influence; it is known why the movement of conscripts' bus was obstructed

It has become clear why a group of people created obstacles for the transportation of conscripts by bus. In particular, one of the participants in the incident, 40-year-old Gor H., reported to the police: “I approached the bus and knocked on the door to open it and see my sister’s child. I regret my actions and urge everyone not to do such things; I acted under the influence. I ask for forgiveness as much as possible.”

It is noted that on January 8, employees of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia and the Police of the Republic of Armenia discovered those who created artificial obstacles and instigated scuffles against the driver of a bus with military number plate 3299 T, which was transporting conscripts from the Nairi division of the Kotayk military commissariat to the central collection point of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia during the time period from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on the same day.

They also created an emergency situation, during which they illegally forced the driver to stop, and at that time, they intentionally and grossly violated public order, showing open disrespect towards society, during which they struck different parts of the bus, causing damage.

Subsequently, the young people repeated their actions on Sharuri Street in Yerevan; they stopped the bus, after which two of them kicked it and opened the doors of the bus interior. They entered and used violence against the inspector of the Nairi division of the Kotayk military commissariat who was accompanying the conscripts on the bus.

They struck the inspector in the face and hurled insults at him, while several others pulled the driver by their clothing, forcibly removing him from the driver’s cabin of the bus.

A criminal case was initiated the same day in the Military Police of the Republic of Armenia under the features of part 3 of Article 258 of the RA Criminal Code, and by midnight, as a result of explanatory work by law enforcement agencies, the suspect Gor H., a 40-year-old resident of Yeghvard, voluntarily presented himself to the Military Police, while his compatriot, 23-year-old Meruzhan O., is currently on the run.
