Ground Slush on Certain Highways in the Republic

The Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia reports that as of January 9 at 09:30, there is ground slush on the highways of the Aragats, Artik, and Gavar regions, particularly on the Vedi-Lanjarr, Kuchak-Aparan, and Lanjik road sections.

Fog is present in the Dilijan mountain pass, with visibility ranging from 80 to 100 meters.

There is black ice in some sections of the Aragats and Gavar highways.

Due to snow and low visibility, the Kuchak-Aparan road section is impassable.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed due to heavy snow and lack of visibility.

Other interstate and national highways in the Republic remain open.

Road construction teams are actively engaged in clearing and treating the highways with salt and sand.
