Ground Drift on Kuchak-Aparan-Mirak Road: Situation on Highways

According to the Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia, as of January 8 at 17:00, snow is falling on the highways of the Ashotsk, Aragats, and Aparan regions.

There is ground drift on the Kuchak-Aparan-Mirak and Rya Taza-Alagyaz-Jamshlu road segments. There are spots of black ice on the roads around Artik.

Due to snow and low visibility, the Aparan-Nigavan road section is impassable.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed due to heavy snow and lack of visibility.

All other interstate and republican highways are open.

Road construction workers are conducting snow removal and treatment with salt and sand on the highways.
