Sevan Community Granted Active Member Status in EU Program

The Sevan community has been granted active member status by the EU-funded program "Community Leaders for Economic Development."

According to Armine Ghukasian, the secretary of the Sevan City Hall staff, the Sevan community joined the initiative "Community Leaders for Economic Development" in 2017 and submitted the project "EU for Sevan: Business Development and Innovation SME Platform," which has proven to be not only successful but also competitive. In 2018, the project was launched in Sevan in collaboration with the Gegharkunik Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with co-funding from the EU.

The aim of the program is to promote sustainable economic growth in the community and the entire region by affecting employment, quality, sustainability, security, and the qualitative growth of the labor market in a multifaceted manner.
