Expectations from the Pashinyan-Putin Meeting Are High: "Hraparak"
According to the newspaper "Hraparak", "Today the Pashinyan-Putin meeting will take place, and expectations are high. However, since the Lukashenko-Putin meeting lasted 4 hours without any agreements, expectations from today’s meeting are also not very high.
"The meeting will go normally, as Pashinyan has not taken any steps that could have alleviated Russia's concerns, unlike in 2008 when Serzh Sargsyan awarded Saakashvili a medal after the August blitzkrieg, and before that, Kocharyan was already fiddling around with the Meghri option," said our source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
But Lavrov's and Karasin's statements suggest otherwise. "There is potential and real concern. Russia's only concern is that there is no change in the political course in Armenia, and that currently does not exist."
