Acting Minister Discusses Gas Prices

I do not think that the price of gas will increase. This was stated by the acting Minister of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources Garegin Baghramyan during a conversation with reporters ahead of today's government meeting.

He noted that the best outcome for us would be a decrease in prices. “Wait one day, at the end of the negotiations, you will know. The best outcome for us should be a decrease in the price of gas,” he said.

The acting minister mentioned that he is not aware of the Russian side's stance. Regarding the question of whether the price of gas could increase as a result of the negotiations, he stated: I do not think the price will go up.

“I do not believe that the price of gas will rise. The result of the negotiations will clarify the situation; a price will be set at the border, and thereafter, for consumers,” he said.
