Production Activity of Confectionery Workshop Suspended Due to Violations
Specialists from the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia have conducted monitoring activities at a lavash and confectionery workshop owned by individual entrepreneur Lusine Simonyan in Alaverdi, Lori Province, and discovered that production was carried out in violation of food hygiene requirements. This was reported by the Food Safety Inspectorate.
Other discrepancies were also recorded, notably that the finished products lacked Armenian labeling, while the unpackaged lavash did not have an informational leaflet. The products released did not comply with the legal regulations defining their quality and safety, and the manufacturer failed to conduct laboratory control over the quality and safety indicators of the finished products. Additionally, two employees of this workshop had not undergone preliminary and periodic medical examinations and did not possess sanitary books.
The inspectorate has suspended the production activities of individual entrepreneur Lusine Simonyan. Time has been granted to rectify the identified violations, and the employees have been deprived of the right to work until they undergo mandatory medical examinations as prescribed.
